I bought this for a new 37" LCD TV. I will soon add a home theater system so I wanted plenty of outlets. I also wanted something that would handle a high surge. I thought the surge protector advertised for TV and home theater were over priced.

I purchased it to use with my computer, scanner and printer. After I got it home and really looked at it, I decided, instead, to use it to protect my 36" TV, DVD player, tuner/receiver, cassette player/recorder and speakers. We've had some pretty heavy rain storms lately, and my equipment hasn't been harmed a bit.
